Another example of why making TV is fucked now: Big Bang Theory's newest spin-off is produced on a "10 episodes a season, two years to make a season" schedule. Even the lowest common denominator Chuck Lorre sitcom machine now makes streaming shows at the same speed as Stranger Things!

I've been using the "AI is plinko/pachinko" metaphor since the bubble lit off, as it easily shows why it's not like a person. The extent to which a real brain is similar at all, its pins rearrange, move & bend with every drop. A DNN's are fixed, needing every puck dropped again for each reply.

if the capabilities of this model were only half as bad as what these researchers found it’d still be cause to go delete all personal data off of meta’s platform. pairing a chatbot interface with the hyperinvasive data collection meta does and then surfacing that tool to the *public* is indefensible

Every founder CEO in tech took the wrong lesson from Steve Jobs being booted from Apple, then coming back later. They think Apple would've been stronger with Jobs the whole time. That's wrong: as he needed that L to grow & run Apple effectively in his return. Today's founders don't get that lesson.

#snackposting Doritos Century Egg Flavor 7/10 - they basically taste like hot spring eggs if you've ever had those, but surprisingly mild, and return to the base corn note very quickly. Only other gotcha is that they are made dark with carbon black, so not great if you're on meds.

A bag of Doritos Century Egg Flavor, corn chips, they are dark, black and basically just taste like hot spring eggs. About a 7 out of 10. I really expected them to taste more pungent.

I'm beginning to better see why Sony's previous streaming services died. They literally can't leave a functioning one they bought, which has a majority share of its genre, well enough alone to keep making money from people ,unless it's premium recurring revenue. Incompetent's an understatement.

#sodaposting & #snackposting Full reviews in the alt text but basically an 8 out of 10 experience all the way around. Nothing particularly outstanding here, but nothing offensive or gross either.

Cherry lemon trolli mountain dew. 8/10, does taste like gummy worms. A bright, red liquid in a clear bottle with gummy worms all over the label.

Madagascar vanilla cream pejoy - 8/10, basically tastes like Oreos. The box art is a chocolate pejoy stick with white cream flowing out of it and a vanilla flower and vanilla beans in a creamy lake.

Lay's cilantro potato sticks - 8/10, excellent flavor, but the the hard stale fry-like texture of them detracts. The box art is something that looks like a bunch of short crispy fries over a field of cilantro.
