I drastically prefer paperbacks. Ebooks are great for sheer convenience, but I like the experience of shopping for and reading paperbacks. I'm more likely to impulse buy a paperback at a craft fair or secondhand bookstore. I also enjoy the option for signed copies or custom bookplates.

I had this idea from reading the elizabeth holmes mouse post and then I couldn't do anything else until i painted the idea to completion

entering day four of "no phone because it broke and i can't get to an apple store" ama

i left it outside in the sun and when i went to pick it up, it was saying "temperature too high! let phone cool down before using again", and then within a few hours it was gone

okay so full transparency. i did dip it in a pool after it said it was too hot. i was told not to do that before doing so, but my hubris said "nah these things are waterproof" and into the swim it went.

i go in the pool when i want to cool down, why can't my phone?

And to be clear: this is not one of those percentage tools that just uses more AI to determine if AI was used. Several major AI developers are now embedding special watermarks in all generated images, which is how I know this image was made with an OpenAI product (like ChatGPT) specifically.

This is from an artist-owned brand where every product has unique hand-drawn art, but they needed ChatGPT to put text on a background. I am so tired of this.
