Check out this really cool study where @matthiaserb.bsky.social's lab used Kalanchoë laxiflora to study volatile uptake routes and found that stomatal and non-stomatal pathways both play a role. Again, this project idea came from an inspiring visit and discussion with @jameshartwell.bsky.social!

Diagramme météo suisse indiquant les anomalie de T° et de précipitations des quadrimestres avril-juillet depuis 1901 (observations) par rapport à la normale 1991-2020. Les cercles vides montrent des valeurs simulées dans le cadre d'un réchauffement climatique global de 1,5 °C.  Le réchauffement a atteint (en 2025) 1,4 °C à l'échelle globale et environ 3,0 °C en Suisse, en comparaison avec la moyenne préindustrielle 1871-1900.  Dans ces conditions climatiques, l'année 2026 serait également considérée comme particulièrement sèche et chaude. Néanmoins, les données montrent aussi que des étés encore plus chauds et secs seraient déjà possibles aujourd’hui.
