They’re not showing the Packer game in MN today, so I’m listening to it on Sirius, which lets me listen to the local station. Wayne Larrivee and former Packer center and newscaster Larry MCarren have been doing this since I was a kid, and it’s delightful to hear them again!

One of the major factors that led us to the illiberal backlash powering our populist authoritarian politics is that women increasingly outperform men by a lot of socially important measures, and a lot of men responded very poorly to that, and so sought a system that would force them back on top.

I think even a strong personality is going to eventually get worn down by the synthetic sycophancy and support and empathy of stock genAI if they're using it everyday. And frankly, I don't think anyone who can stand interacting with stock genAI has that strong of a personality to begin with.

Getting really tired of trying to justify legal ethics and procedure to my non-lawyer friends and family. They (we) are seeing court after court give warnings and that’s it. What are we learning? Rules are malleable and one should try to get away with as much as possible.
