If you believe this, I have a bridge to sell you. The prime directive of the Conservative Party is to get and hold power. The idea that it would risk throwing away the opportunity merely because it involved an albeit uncomfortable arrangement with another right-wing party is clearly for the birds.

Abolishing the #triplelock to index state pensions purely to CPI would save the UK government an estimated £2 billion/ year but completely abolishing higher-rate tax relief on private pension contributions would yield a significantly larger £10 billion to £15 billion per year for the Treasury.

When the triple lock was created, Britain's state pension was 2nd from bottom of 38 OECD advanced nations. Fifteen years later, it's 3rd from bottom. Hardly a huge uplift. What's changed is the other end of the equation. We are poorer. Much poorer. Due to Covid, War, but mostly, sodding Brexit.

The problem of social care is largely one of a missing insurance market. The obvious solution is to pay for care via general taxes, treating these as if they were insurance premia. Cutting benefits or the triple lock are bad alternatives.
