Sad news. Our kids’ oldest cat has died. Hector was a ferocious mouser and generally quite fearsome. At nearly 20 years old, he had a good innings. Here he is in a favourite spot. On top of the hot water pipes. Sweet dreams and good hunting Hector. ❤️

Hedgehogs drink from puddles and ponds but it hasn’t rained for a while. So leaving out shallow bowls of water is a lifesaver - especially for hoglets like Titch. 🦔

Hedgehogs are largely nocturnal but also crepuscular (active at dawn and dusk). The smallest hoglet we’ve seen follows a crepuscular pattern. Often first to arrive around dusk and last to leave around dawn. Maximises chances of getting food. Anyway, here’s Titch a few minutes ago. 🦔
