Der 30-jährige Durchschnittswert eines nahezu linearen Aufwärtstrends hängt der Realität 15 Jahre hinterher. Und 2029 wird auch nicht der 30-jährige Durchschnittswert 1,5 Grad überschriten wohl aber der geglättete Mehrjahrestrend (5 Jahres-Trend).

This is important - Honest Brokers (TM) and their echo chamber will often point to the decreasing global wildfire, but that reflects changing human land use practices. In temperate and boreal forests, climate's role is more clear. See this paper by Cunningham et al. www.nature.com/articles/s41...

🔥 A simple analysis on the European Fires. The temperature and relative humidity departures from normal are astonishing. Since late May France and Spain have a 2-Month temperature anomaly of +10-15°C (up to 27°F) -and- a relative humidity anomaly of approx -25%! 1/

Global sea-surface temperatures just reached their 50th consecutive record hot day and are expected to continue to rise for another month. This is so far beyond 'bonkers' (technical climate science term) that the Climate 8-ball has decided to start drinking early today.

As of July 19th update, the Nino 3.4 sea-surface temperature is now more than 3.7 standard deviations above the 1991-2020 mean. With the warming just getting started, this El Nino is still in charted territory, but just barely.

Die neue Förderrichtlinie für Heizungen liegt vor. Insgesamt soll die Förderung demnach jedes Jahr sinken. Für kleinere Einkommen gibt es aber zumindest im nächsten Jahr sogar mehr Förderung als bisher. Details im Thread:

RCP and SSP scenarios are not emission scenarios. I repeat: they are not emission scenarios. They are radiative forcing scenarios. Forcing = human emissions + the response of the climate system to those emissions You can only back out emissions by making assumptions about climate sensitivity.

Zur Begründung des geplanten Netzpakets hat Katherina Reiche mehrfach behauptet, dass für nicht genutzten Strom aus Erneuerbaren-Anlagen pro Jahr drei Milliarden Euro bezahlt werden. Tatsächlich, so teilte das BMWE jetzt mit, war im letzten Jahr nicht mal ein Sechstel dieser Summe.
