Because someone reminded me and I can't stop thinking about it: Warp Drives! Ship Design! Pictured: Howie Day's modelling of Mike Hansons' USS Arges mesh. I love seeing other species aesthetic in federation ships - it's not like the federation is human-only, why NOT Vulcan ship design elements?

A starfleet Starship, with a half-saucer section surrounded by a ring instead of the classic starfleet twin nacelle design.

The same ship, seen from above and behind.

A zoom on the starboard engine mount, showing the classic Excelsior-era Livery.

FREE ADVICE: so, there's a filmmaking concept called "business." "Business" is, essentially, the stuff your character does while talking. Fixing a car engine, ice skating, eating an ice cream cone, ducking gunfire. You gotta give your characters "business" so they're not just standing there yappin'.

She lives in everyone’s minds rent-free….. #ocsky #bittersweetcandybowl #bcbart

Sandy from the webcomic Bittersweet Candy Bowl smiling very brightly and sweetly to the camera, sparkles around her, her purplish black hair waving to the side. Her hands are clasped together. She’s wearing a light blue cardigan over a white blouse with a black ribbon and a black skirt.

Behind her are Paulo, Daisy, Mike, and Lucy, who stare at her with mixed emotions. Paulo is annoyed with Sandy given his feelings for Mike and feeling like Sandy neglects Mike, Daisy is teary-eyed and yearning for her lost love who never looks her way, Mike is tired and conflicted by Sandy’s more recent confessions in the comic, and Lucy stares with frustration and envy, knowing she can’t win against her.

It’s #WebcomicDay! I’m Taeshi and I make Bittersweet Candy Bowl - a slice-of-life romantic drama about falling in love with your childhood bestie, then destroying what you had. Read for love triangles, long-distance relationships and plenty of MESS!! Updates Mon/Wed/Fri!! bcb.cat

A page from the webcomic Bittersweet Candy Bowl. It’s page 51 from the chapter “Eternal Flame.”

Mike and Lucy are having a conversation at night in a park while it’s snowing.

Panel 1
Lucy: __Sure__ you don’t wanna smack it up a bit?
Mike, rubbing his eye after crying: Ugh.. I’m too drained to be angry right now.

Panel 2
Mike, cricking his back: I feel like.. I was carrying something really heavy, and now.. it’s just gone.
Lucy, smiling: Breakups can do that.

Panel 3
Lucy, feeling the snow fall onto her hand: It’s getting pretty late, you know.

Panel 4
Lucy: Do you think you’ll be okay?
Mike: I dunno..

Panel 5
Mike, touching his chest with his hands, face off-sceen: It hurts..

Panel 6
Lucy, smiling: You’ve dealt with worse.

Panel 7
Lucy, continuing to talk while the panel focuses on Mike staring at her as he continues to rub his eye and clean away his tears: Might feel like crap now, but one day you’re gonna look back on this and cringe.

Panel 8
Lucy: “Why was I such a bitch?” “Why’d I even shed a tear for this girl!” Y’know.
Mike, nervously: Heh.

A page from the webcomic Bittersweet Candy Bowl. It’s page 29 from the chapter “Back and Forth.”

Panel 1
Paulo stands in the hallway holding a soda can. He grins at Mike, laughing and scratching his ear.
Paulo: Hahahaha! The MAIN ROLE?! How'd a shrimp like you manage THAT?!

Panel 2
Paulo: Hahahaha!
Mike glares over his shoulder at Paulo from his open locker.

Panel 3
Mike crosses his arms and scowls at Paulo.
Mike: I could stop paying for the Blasto, you know.
Paulo grins and points his thumb at his chest, still holding the soda.
Paulo: You want the bike, I stomach the soda. You NEED me.

Panel 4
Mike stands by his locker, frowning at Paulo. Behind him, two shadowy shapes approach.
Mike: I'll save up for one instead! It's better than having to deal with your crap.

Panel 5
Paulo: Oh, you're so mad.
Mike looks away, frowning. Behind him, the two shadowy shapes face away from Mike. Exclamation points appear over their heads.
Mike: Shut up. None of you guys take me seriously..

Panel 6
Paulo: Oh, I'm sorry, dude. Wanna talk about it?
Mike smiles, looking surprised. He puts his hand back in his locker. Behind him, a shadowed figure runs away.
Mike: What, really?

Panel 7
Paulo: Actually, I don't give a rat's ass HAHAHAHAH
Mike frowns, staring at Paulo with a hurt expression. He pulls a "MATH WORK BOOK FOR DUMMIES" from his locker. Behind Mike, dark figures approach.

Panel 8
*Mike scowls and slams his locker shut. His outstretched arm inadvertently blocks Tess and Lucy as they run up behind him.*
Mike: Why do I BOTHER with you, Paulo?!

Panel 9
Mike looks startled as Tess and Lucy run up, looking furious. The panel darkens behind them.

Panel 10
Mike stands in front of Paulo, cringing with his fur and tail puffed out. Lucy and Tess lean toward Paulo with furious expressions, their tails bristling in irritation and arms straight at their sides. Paulo stares at them without reaction, still holding his soda.
Lucy and Tess: PAULO YOU MAN WHORE!!

A page from the webcomic Bittersweet Candy Bowl. It’s page 28 from the chapter “Link Play.”

Mike is having a phone call with his girlfriend Sandy in his room. He’s lying on his bed.

Panel 1
Sandy is talking to Mike on the phone, he sits on his bed listening carefully
Sandy: Honestly, I was gonna try to keep it as a surprise, but..

Panel 2
Sandy: The way this break is turning out, I might be able to visit Roseville sometime in February?
Sandy: I thought we could spend ~Valentine’s Day~ together!

Panel 3 shows Mike sitting there, thinking it over, with a small surprise. But not necessarily joy.

Panel 4
Mike leans back into the pillow of his bed, with a smile on his face
Mike: That sounds pretty nice!
Sandy: Well, don’t get TOO excited!

A page from the webcomic Bittersweet Candy Bowl. It’s page 33 from the chapter “Double Down.”

Mike and Daisy are having a conversation in the school library. This is after Mike kissed Daisy on the cheek.

Panel 1
Daisy stares at Mike with shock in her eyes, her face blushing brightly. Mike is looking away from her, ashamed.
Daisy: What?
Mike: Sorry.

Panel 2
Daisy, touching her face: No, seriously, WHAT?

Panel 3
Mike, turned away from Daisy, his expression not visible: I thought.. this’d make me and Sandy even now, right? If she’s gonna keep secrets, might as well have one of my own.

Panel 4
Mike, looking annoyed and defeated: Ugh, that’s so dumb. Why do I want to make things fair? None of this is fair. LIFE isn’t fair. None of this matters.

Panel 5
Mike, burying his face into his blue scarf: Maybe Paulo knew what he was talking about. I could have let all those girls do whatever they wanted to me. Why not if I’m just gonna get cheated on anyway.

Panel 6
Mike, turning to look at Daisy: Why’d I never give you a chance? We should have dated. We could’ve—

Panel 7
Daisy suddenly kisses Mike passionately on the lips, there are swirls in her eyes to show how crazy she’s being. Mike is in utter shock and blushes brightly.

Panel 8
The make-out continues, as Mike wraps his arms around Daisy and they continue this absurd affair.

I only have one piece of advice to juniors: don't go showing off how fast you are It's amazing that you can do in 15 minutes what takes others 1 hour! Good for you! Spend those extra 55 minutes resting or pretending. Don't tell higher ups. You're setting up expectations for you and everyone.

Lucy and Mike from Bittersweet Candy Bowl. Lucy is a white cat with blue eyes, Mike is a grey cat with green eyes. Lucy is wearing a wine-coloured top and a long blue skirt with a red and white flower pattern, the pattern also containing green leaves. She’s wearing black shoes with white socks.

Mike is wearing a black shirt under a baggy sweater, the sweater containing a tan, yellow, and white pattern. His right arm has an elbow brace exposed, and he’s also wearing a black drawing glove. He’s just wearing white socks otherwise.

Mike looks tired, Lucy looks a little annoyed, Mike is just standing and staring at Lucy while she stares back, her right hand resting on Mike’s shoulder and her left hand resting on her hip.

A comic referencing the “golden week” meme going around that involves characters wearing skin-tight golden bikinis. This three-panel comic features characters from the webcomic Bittersweet Candy Bowl.

Lani, the homeroom teacher, wearing a golden bikini: Any student would be HIGHLY inappropriate so I’M stepping in!
Lucy and Daisy look on, followed by Lucy looking down at herself, referencing that these characters often don’t wear any clothes at all, due to their cartoonish design, and she looks back at Lani, with apathy. Daisy blushes and feels self-conscious.
