DoorDash spent $1.4M trying to stop Zohran Mamdani from becoming mayor. This week's historic $131.5M enforcement action against DoorDash for underpaying NYC delivery workers shows why. Yet another reminder that the only thing that can beat organized money is organized people.

In a wage-theft settlement, DoorDash now has to pay its workers around 100 times what it spent trying to beat Zohran Mam

Love this piece, recommend that you the whole thing. "Trump violates the public trust in large ways all the time — through his monumental corruption and self-dealing just for a start. But his smaller acts of revenge and point-scoring arguably highlight this abuse of power even more clearly."

If they hadn’t done that, you might be able to credibly argue that the country had moved on and the process could be trusted as fair. But then they all but stumbled over themselves to eliminate every black-majority seat, one by one.
