Avenue tank by @toriknitsnyc.bsky.social, in Venus Flytrap linen-bamboo from @thirdvaultyarns.com I had a bit of yarn left, so tried adding short row cap sleeves. Not perfect, but ok for a first try, and more sun coverage now #craftsky #knitting
A v-neck knitted top with short gap sleeves, in a yarn mix of turquoise, light and dark green and magenta. There's a big reverse Z of these colours across the waist where they've pooled. The sleeves have a little puckering around the bottom armholes

She was murdered by transphobia 😥😥😥
Joelle was admitted to the Wolverhampton NHS Trust suffering from an aggressive but highlv treatable form of lymphoma. Although a bed was initially available on the cancer ward, hospital staff moved her to an isolated side room upon realizina she was a trans woman.
Joelle and her family explicitly pleaded with hospital staff to place her on either a standard male or female ward so that she could immediately start emergency treatment. However, adherence to recent policies regarding single-sex hospital spaces meant she was kept waiting for a separate single- occupancy room. She spent 16 days in isolation without appropriate cancer pain management or chemotherapy. By the time emergency chemotherapy was finally administered, her condition had deteriorated severely, and she tragically passed away.
The Trans Legal Clinic is pursuing two primary legal routes:
• An Article 2 Inquest: To force a forma investigation into the systemic NHS quidance failures and administrative delays that directly contributed to her death
• Clinical Negligence Claim: To demanc formal accountability from the specific trust involved for failing to manage her pair and delay vital emergency treatment.

“More than 100 elected officials have joined me in calling on parking lot and garage owners across New York City: Don’t give ICE a place to operate. Don’t rent to them. Tell them they’re not welcome.

Last week, ICE agents shot Oscar Belgal in the neck in Marble Hill while his 5-year-old son sat in the car. They had been staging nearby in a private parking lot.

Our city laws keep ICE off public property. Now, we’re calling on private property owners to do the same. One garage on Morton Street already removed ICE vehicles after neighbors spoke out. Every owner has that power.”
