If I were in the UK, I'd be preparing for @wildflowerhour.bsky.social now; it doesn't exist in Hobart, where it's been a gloomy, rainy day, brightened up by these native #flowers! (Also, #Tasmania likes to remind botanists that it doesn't mess about when it comes to #ants...) #orchid #flora #plant
First row, left to right: Waxlip orchid (Glossodia maior), pink lady-fingers (Caladenia carnea), elegant caladenia (Caladenia cracens), blue fairy orchid (Pheladinia deformis);
Second row, left to right: Three-horned bird-orchid (Chiloglottis triceratops), native violet (Viola hederacea), twining fringe-lily (Thysandrus patersonii), leopard orchid (Diuris pardina);
Third row, left to right: Blue love-creeper (Comesperma volubile), austral indigo (Indigofera australis), creeping bossiaea (Bossiaea prostrata), early Nancy (Wurmbea dioica);
Fourth row, left to right: Erect guineaflower (Hibbertia riparia), fringed beard-heath (Leucopogon collinus), creamy candles (Stackhousia monogyna), trailing goodenia (Goodenia lanata).

Transit agency websites should have a “How to pay your fare” page that’s linked prominently from the home page. When I get to a new city, I don’t need instructions on how to ride the bus or train; that’s the same everywhere. I need instructions on paying, which is different everywhere.

Said as a bad thing: "people increasingly view everything they do and create as property"--yeah I cannot fathom why people who are largely broke with less and less control over their lives, priced out of housing and groceries, might feel ownership of the things they create themselves.
