Convinced that the more we permit and even endorse behavior like this (corruption, dishonesty, a lack of pride, etc.) at a macro level, the more we breed it at a micro level.

The winds change if one or both of Demin and Traore become really good (not just solid), but if Wolf, Saraf, and Drake continue to look the way they've looked I feel like we have to at least examine how our scouting team whiffed so hard on them. Dariq was horrid but I can at least see the reasoning.

We used to have to type in a password. Now all we have to do is type in our email address and then navigate to our inbox and wait thirty to sixty seconds for a six-digit code to arrive that we can input into the box where the password used to be.

I don’t think we fully appreciate the fact that we used to have to swipe our credit card and now, thanks to progress, we just have to hover our phones to locate The Mysterious Inch that holds the key to our money.

Hey, I’m just asking questions. Ignorant questions, bigoted questions, questions that have been repeatedly answered for many years. Sorry, but I’m not listening to answers right now; I’m far too busy asking questions. It’s called being intellectually curious.

A good summation of David Brooks and "civility" politics generally: no one on the right-wing can ever be described honestly, while everyone who isn't on the right-wing is always portrayed as a radical breaking cherished norms.

Of course I would never advocate for imprisonment for people who make you get up so they can get to their seat in a theater and almost immediately make you get up again so they can get back out, but at a minimum there should be very, very heavy fines.

You won’t catch me denying Philly’s talent this year but this is a roster whose best players magnetize drama and have a long history of thin skin. A 6th seed feels as likely to me as a championship.

We didn't need all these biographical
Willy Wonka movies about who he is as a person. In the older versions, he's obviously God or the Devil. You're supposed to spend the entire story wondering which one and gradually become worried they're the same being

A while back I looked into how to block individual accounts from a feed and couldn’t figure it out at the time but I need to go back to it. It’s that one (who is that even for?) and like 2 or 3 articles that have been getting reshared daily for years. Internet pollution is real!

This is all well and good and I will certainly vote but I still couldn’t wager the faintest guess about what Dems hope or plan to do with control of Congress and/or the Senate. I’m not trying to be doomer. They’ve all been banging the campaign drum but I hear no song.
