"Are healthy people truly alive?" Neon has revealed the first official trailer for the wonderful new film titled All of a Sudden, made by master filmmaker Ryusuke Hamaguchi. After making Drive My Car and Evil Does Not Exist, this is next film and it's set in Paris and shot in the French language (along with Japanese of course). It premiered at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival and I declared it a masterpiece in my review. It's utterly breathtaking and sublime in every possible way. Director of a care facility for the elderly, Marie-Lou (Efira) strives to introduce an innovative care philosophy based on listening & respecting residents' dignity, despite resistance from part of her staff. Her encounter with Mari (Okamoto), a Japanese theater director battling cancer, will profoundly reshape her path. By forming a deep, supportive friendship, the two women join forces in a shared struggle to "make the impossible possible." Starring Virginie Efira, Tao Okamoto, Kyōzō Nagatsuka, Teruyo Kurosaki. With a score by Canadian-French composer Samuel Andreyev. This is still my #1 film of 2026 so far - I absolutely adore it. It's so tender and touching and uplifting and hopeful. "What is the image of the future that you see?" "We don't teach it. It teaches itself..." Neon has revealed the first teaser trailer for the film Artificial, directed by master Italian filmmaker Luca Guadagnino as his latest after Challengers, Queer, & After the Hunt. Artificial is basically The Social Network but for OpenAI (creators of ChatGPT which is the worst btw) and its founder/CEO Sam Altman. It's premiering at the 2026 New York Film Festival then playing at London next before hitting theaters in December at the end of this year. Starring Andrew Garfield as Altman, Anora's Yura Borisov as Ilya Sutskever, Monica Barbaro as Mira Murati, Ike Barinholtz as Elon Musk, Cooper Hoffman, Jason Schwartzman, plus Mark Rylance as Geoffrey Hinton. Sony Pictures has revealed the official full trailer for The Social Reckoning, the highly anticipated follow-up to David Fincher's 2010 film The Social Network about Facebook. The big reveal trailer following the teaser a few months ago featuring way more footage. Screenwriter Aaron Sorkin returns steering the ship, also directing in addition to writing. "The verdict is in. The reckoning is coming." This is essentially the sequel to The Social Network, arriving in theaters this October. "Every revolution begins with a reckoning." This sequel follows the story of Frances Haugen, a young Facebook engineer, who enlists the help of Jeff Horwitz, a Wall Street Journal reporter, to blow the whistle on the social network's most guarded secrets - soon to be revealed. Starring Mikey Madison, Jeremy Allen White, Wunmi Mosaku, Betty Gilpin, Billy Magnussen, with Bill Burr, and Jeremy Strong as the slimy Mark Zuckerberg trying to push back against all the harm that his website has caused. This is Clockwork's first official release, a restoration of a controversial, one-of-a-kind, 1970s masterpiece that has been hidden from view for decades. It showed at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival and plays at Stiges & TIFF, too. Ken Russell's The Devils is the definitive vision based on the edit he privately constructed in 2004. In the film set in 17th-century France, Father Grandier's protection of the city of Loudun from the corrupt Cardinal Richelieu is ruined by a sexually repressed nun's accusation of witchcraft. Vanessa Redgrave stars as Sister Jeanne, with Oliver Reed as Father Grandier and Gemma Jones as Madeleine. The Picture & Sound restoration was performed by Warner Bros.
