Today is the birthday of cartoonist, illustrator, & animator Winsor McCay (Sept. 26, 1869-July 26, 1934). Best known for the comic strip Little Nemo in Slumberland and his early work in animation, particularly on Gertie the Dinosaur (1914).

Tracking a package sent my way on 17 September. I discovered it has been to Springfield, Il (40 minutes away) on three different occasions and St Louis on four different occasions. It is currently in Michigan after a one day visit to Wisconsin. I assume it is having fun, I hope I get a postcard!
