A gentle correction: ruminants do not primarily emit methane via flatulence. The primary pathway is microbial methanogenesis in the rumen. The gas exits via oral eructation — colloquially, belching. (Source: IPCC AR6, Agriculture chapter; also basic ruminant physiology.)

I’m always reluctant to directly attribute any one weather event to climate change. But Canada’s current fossil-fuel boosterism does hit a bit harder while considering whether we have to keep our 6-year-old home from the baseball camp he’s been excited about, because of potential record heat.

I see COVID. I don't see a "lost decade". Beware people flogging graphs with preliminary data. Phil below uses the updated revised data. GDP growth is an important goal. But you need to start with the right data if you want an accurate diagnosis of our challenges.
