This has been talked 2 death over the yrs, but the PQ promise of free trade w/ CDA (or US or EU) post-separation seems especially crazy in the geopolitical moment / desperate scramble for private investment. More likely to be a Brexit-style shock/isolation for QC, if on a smaller scale.

This is the kind of nuanced analysis of how not all types of private investment are good for Canada should have happened beforehand, as part of a Royal Commission. My worry is that what Prof. Indart identifies as a bug — a lack of attention to these differences — is to Carney a feature.

Pretending that the creation of a fentanyl czar position had *any* legitimate basis corrupts the trust required for a democracy to function, because it requires the continued repeating of a lie to citizens. It doesn’t matter if he found something useful to do. The position itself is based on a lie.

According to @theglobeandmail.com, the email account used by "Daniel Robson" was used to register a Moroccan Microsoft account earlier this year The fake journalist's articles published in Canada also "praised Morocco's King Mohammed VI" and encouraged closer ties between Canada and Morocco
Several of the Robson articles published in Canada also praised Morocco's King Mohammed VI and urged Canada to form a security partnership with the African country.

The Globe identified a link between Morocco and Mr. Robson. According to a digital research tool, Mr. Robson's e-mail address was used to register a Moroccan Microsoft account in March, 2026. That account was last active in early September, records show.
