Did the no barbeques alert warrant the emergency alert system? It sounds silly, but I'd argue yes. With so many wildfires raging, some burning peoples homes, its absolutely critical to make sure everyone is aware of the current fire risk due to hot and dry weather.

Statistically, Niko has many more friends than enemies, but thats mostly due to limited opportunity (Not many options for enemies in her small village). She's confrontational when she needs to be. Once the plot starts and she leaves, she makes a whole lot of enemies. Mostly nobles. #QueerPrompts

Please don't run my characters through Al, or put my work anywhere near it. This year especially I've seen a LOT of Al Bunny Vs Monkey characters being used without permission to promote businesses, events, and absolutely worst of all, child literacy schemes.
I've worked hard to make the things I make, and so it's pretty disrespectful for others to then mangle those things through the half-arsed machines.
Children deserve characters and stories from the heart, hand crafted by humans. I believe this so deeply. Please support artists.
(I have a lot more opinions about Al and the devastating effect it is already having on artists, especially the next generation, but this is a small space, so for now thanks for listening)

“Gladly.” Jayro opened the channel on his wrist communicator.
“Yeah?” Fish’s voice responded.
“The new navigator is having trouble with her—” Jayro broke off as Anora grabbed his forearm and yanked his wrist in front of her own face, causing his chair to whirl towards her.
“What on-boards are your pre-sets accounting for?” she asked into the communicator without a glance at him.
“The hyrdobeacon,” crackled Fish’s reply, “the fore and aft isotrope routers…and the gravitic drive buffer, I think.”
Jayro was frozen as Anora swiped at the nav one-handed. He could feel her warm breath on his palm as she spoke with Fish through his communicator, her hand gripping his forearm almost burning him through his flight jacket. She was close enough to smell the blaster emissions wafting off her, the sharp, citrus scent of the steam bath clinging to her skin. His fingertips were millimeters from her cheek and he wanted to cup her face in his hand and drag her around to look at him with those bright eyes. He wanted to play with the flyaway bit of hair that had missed her ponytail and brush his thumb over her lips until they parted.
