#Mammal #Rodent #SquirrelSaturday This very cooperative Red Squirrel, waited patiently for me to be done so it could get on with its day.

A reddish brown squirrel sitting on a dark, rough branch in the shadows. In the 3/4 position, its right eye glistens. Its forepaws are crossed in front of its off white chest. Its bushy tail is held against its back, the very end hairs extending above its head.

#Insect #InsectThursday The days are noticeably shorter & it takes much longer for them to warm up. This makes for sluggish insects & sneaking up close, so much easier. This grasshopper was too chilled to jump.
