is this a room that he has permanently made up to look like the opening scene from Patton, or do they keep getting new flags?

Tackling all of the most important issues. F--- the soft power that came from USAID's outstanding contributions, but here's the solution to a problem that no one had! Always style over substance. And watch, the packaging supplier will turn out to be some big GOP donor who needed a USG grift.

[20 years from now] We've torn down and rebuilt the Plaza, but the song still plays. We don't know where it's coming from. It gets louder every year. They can hear it in Lenexa.

Liberty defeat the Lynx to advance! First 8 seed to knock off a 1 seed in WNBA history. I was cheering for the Lynx because they're closest to KC and Olivia Miles, but Breanna Stewart and Sabrina Ionescu are both awesome too so I'm excited to watch them too! #WNBA

Opinion | Kansas Hasn’t Elected a Democrat to the Senate Since 1932. Adam Hamilton Could Change That. (Gift Article)

Pretty nice quote from Adam Hamilton in the NYT today “Senator,” he said, “your job is to be a champion for the people of Kansas, not to be spokesperson for the White House to the people of Kansas.

This campaign could be a compelling model for Democrats.

I'm sure the cuts were a tough call to make, but her statement about "... and can we back that up with data" is pretty shitty. It completely ignores any soft value-add the museum represents. Can they back up *with data* that 15 varsity sports need to exist? Where's the data on her $355,000 salary

If an LLM actually makes a novel discovery, it's because of the underlying ML model noticing patterns (that appear linguistically). But that could have been done without the LLM. There is no ghost in the LLM machine that is thinking about and solving problems.

Fellow GenXers: remember how often we were bombarded with images of late-period USSR? Old, decrepit men in charge, clinging to an ossified ideology. Political repression, nakedly false propaganda, empty shelves, food shortages, inadequate health care, deep-seated cynicism, crumbling infrastructure

A photo of a light blue denim jacket with a glaring bald eagle painted on the back. It is flying at you talons-first and wings at full extension. Red letters say FUCK NAZIS
ABOLISH ICE

Same image as before, from the side to show brushwork and color details

a painting on a dark blue jacket of a mountainous scene with two eagles ripping and tearing apart a red Nazi flag. The sky is green white and red fading into a yellow Sun behind them. It is an homage to the original painting by José Bribiesca “MEXICO POR LA LIBERTAD”.
