This isn't just grasping at straws -- it's grasping at thin air. LNG Canada uses steel modules fabricated in China because we don't make them here. The first phase was built in large part because of a duty waiver the Trudeau government granted. Would PP like to see the project not built at all?

Disappointed by the Alberta’s Voice video ad. Forever Canada has run a super positive campaign, so has ABNDP. This grainy video ominous voice crap is straight from the Republican playbook. When you use the weapon of the enemy you teach people there’s no difference between you. Just my take but sigh.

Carney outlines the last-minute changes U.S. tacked onto trade deal terms
2 hours ago | 2:44 CC
Asked for specifics of the Americans' last-minute changes to terms of a trade deal, Carney outlined three examples: he said Americans looked to change to the scope of tariffs on Canadian auto content, efforts to restrict Canada's ability to have other trade deals around the world and efforts to restrict
Canada's protections of language, culture 'and in effect, our sovereignty.'
Earlier, Carney said the U.S. tried to restrict
Canada's ability to strike new trade deals with other countries. We're getting some more
context on that now.
The Trump administration briefed American industry on the potential deal with Canada earlier this week, and the industries sent a report about that briefing to their memberships, according to a source with knowledge of the report's contents.
The source told CBC News the Canadian government was expected to agree to apply steel and aluminum tariffs on all of its trading partners at a rate comparable to what the U.S. has applied (50 per cent).
However, countries that have a free trade agreement with Canada would be treated differently. In those cases, Canada would have to establish a tariff rate quota, meaning a certain amount of product would be allowed into the country at a lowered tariff rate.
Carney said today that any restrictions on Canada's ability to strike new trade deals across the world are "unacceptable."
- With files from Ashley BurkeCBC NEWS
Prime Minister Mark Carney told reporters Saturday that the proposed U.S. terms toward a trade deal included "language which suggested restrictions in terms of our ability to execute trade deals, which would always be unacceptable to this government."
In the final hours of negotiations, the U.S. tried to include restrictions on Canada's ability to strike trade deals with other countries, Carney said.
"Unacceptable," the prime minister said flatly.
Plus, the U.S. tried to restrict Canada's protections of its languages, its culture and its sovereignty, Carney added. He did not provide details of what those restrictions looked like.
