I respect Wade here a lot more than I do a coward who wouldn't make that argument. Once my mom and I were looking at standalone freezers at Sears and debating a little too loudly how many bodies you could fit in one. Salesguy walked up and was like "no way. You could absolutely fit 3." Got the sale

"Umberto Eco, who owned 50,000 strategy games had this to say about Steam libraries:

It is foolish to think that you have to play all the strategy games you buy, as it is foolish to criticize those who buy more strategy games than they will ever be able to play. It would be like saying that you should use all the cutlery or glasses or screwdrivers or drill bits you bought before buying new ones. There are things in life that we need to always have plenty of supplies, even if we will only use a small portion. If, for example, we consider strategy games as medicine, we understand that it is good to have many at home rather than a few; when you want to feel better, then you go to the 'medicine closet' and choose a strategy game. Not a random one, but the right strategy game for that moment. THat's why you should always have a nutrition choice! Those who buy only one strategy game, read only that one and then get rid of it. They simply apply the consumer mentality to strategy games, that is, they consider them a consumer product, a good. Those who love strategy games know that a strategy game is anything but a commodity."

Ghost Divers: Nodame Cantabile @ghostdivers.exportaud.io · 02/10/2026

This week on the podcast, we discover we actually have a lot to say about how Eva 1.0 is ostensibly the same content as the first six episodes of the show and feels devoted to hyper-fidelity to the original, and yet nonetheless it is also radically different in key ways. Listen now at exportaud.io!

Edited page from the Evangelion manga.

Panel 1: Rei in the Eva plug cockpit look up and says "You're... crying again..."

Panel 2: Shinji looking down at her and crying.

Panel 3: Rei says, "I haven't seen you cry like this before..."

Panel 4: Wide shot of the cockpit, Shinji is clearly visible but Rei is obscured by the seat. Rei says, "Why are you sad?"

Panel 5: Mid length shot of Shinji wiping away tears. He says, "Dummy... that's not it!"

Panel 6: Closer shot of Shinji wiping away tears, his hand and wrist now fully hiding his eyes. He says, "I'm crying because I'm happy... happy there's a new episode of Ghost Divers"

Panel 7: Closeup of Rei looking at him, somewhat taken aback.

Continuing to a second page.

Panel 1: Rei leans back in the cockpit seat, reflective. "... because you're happy? So you cry when you're happy, too."

Panel 2: Shinji finishing wiping his tears. Rei is continuing speaking from off panel. "I'm sorry, I..."

Panel 3: Longer shot of Rei laying in the cockpit seat, Shinji in the foreground looking at her. She says, "... I'm not sure... what expression I should make... at a time like—like this."

Panel 4: Closeup of Rei looking up, sad or wistful. "Even though I should be happy..."

Panel 5: Closup of Shinji looking down at Rei.

Panel 6: Closer shot of Shinji, near tears beginning to well in his eyes as he smiles. He says, "Well, it's you're happy——you should rate them 5 stars"

Continuing to the next page.

Panel 1: Closeup of Rei looking at Shinji.

Panel 2: Reverse shot of Shinji looking at Rei.

Panel 3: Return to the angle of Rei looking at Shinji from slightly further distance. From off panel, Shinji extends his hand towards her and asks, "Can you stand?"

Panel 4: Rei beginning to lift up out of the seat. She has taken Shinji's hand. Her eyes are closed.

Panel 5: Similar shot, but she has moved forward slightly, and her eyes are now open.

Continuing onto the next page. This one is colored, unlike the previous that have been in black and white.

Panel 1: A continuation of the panel from the previous page, but large and dominating most of the page. She holds Shinji's hand, and very importantly, she is similing.

Panel 2: Shinji's reaction to her smile, taken aback but moved. Over his face is imposed the cover art for this season of Ghost Divers. To the left of his face is text mimicking the iconic Evangelion title cards, which reads, "GHOST DIVERS: EVANGELION 1.0 YOU ARE (NOT) ALONE listen now at exportaud.io"
