Somebody gave me her GNs because her kids were getting to reading age and she wanted them out of her house, I kept them for a week before carting 'em to Half Price Books.

Wasn’t able to secure any review code for HELLRAISER unfortunately. But I found this amazing FB clip of Doug Bradley doing a Scouse Pinhead and now I’m crying from laughter. He’s amazing. (Source: YMH Podcast.)

Several weeks ago, Phil Tippett's legendary animation studio in Berkeley, CA closed. An anonymous hero noticed a folder of CDs. This turned out to be hundreds of unseen hi-res images and videos from Star Wars, Robocop, Jurassic Park, etc. ~90 isos for you to browse: archive.org/details/tipp...

A casual Star Wars alien fella at the cantina, in a sun faded, reddish photo. Someone will be mad at me for not knowing who this is.

Phil, a balding Caucasian man, poses a model of the garthok, an antagonist from the Coneheads movie.

Phil, a balding caucasian man, points at some CG on a CRT computer monitor, as a younger man looks on. The screen shows a model of a dinosaur attacking a jeep, while there's an actual physical model of that event in the foreground for reference.

an isolated shot of a star wars vehicle. Sorry, I don't know star wars lol

From the 5-min pilot of "Redline", directed by Takeshi Koike 7 years before the film's release (and not reused in the film). It's still just as rare to see such long proof-of-concepts produced for Japanese animated films projects. Full video >> www.catsuka.com/player/redli...

The Record of Lodoss War game for Mega CD (released in 1994) begins (appropriately) with its own pixel art rendition of the opening and the iconic 'Adesso e Fortuna.' 🎶

I love that they animated everything on paper for this (there are clips of various attacks being drawn! Neat!), they really could have put some more effort in to the designs though my gosh.

The fact that one of the most interesting versions of Captain Hook is probably from the 90's Fox's Peter Pan & The Pirates, is kind of crazy. HA they went hard with his dialog....man I haven't seen this in 20 years.

On the subject of Dolly’s union/working class solidarity, her 9 to 5 LP included Woody Guthrie’s ´Deportee (Plane Wreck at Los Gatos)’, a protest song about the racist mistreatment & media coverage of exploited Mexican farm workers who died when the plane deporting them crashed in 1948.

It straight up pisses me off that Dolly Parton was doing this stuff for the past 30 years while the biggest assholes in the world became billionaires whose only charitable contributions are to their own tax-exempt organizations (that they receive tax benefits for donating to & "volunteering with".)

every billionaire & tech mogul, they all want to be adored & celebrated without doing the things Dolly did with a fraction of the power & money. What she had, she gave away. I'm sure she was comfortable (& that's good!). But she just relentlessly helped. It's not that difficult. Love. Care. Help. 💚🌸
