This has been a rough week: AC broke down, dropped something heavy on my toe and am losing the nail, had to file a human rights complaint to (hopefully) get my bank to stop misgendering me, evil migraine backlash. Despite which I just DID ALL MY LAUNDRY. Still loving the accessible washer/dryer. <3

Oh snap, tulip needles are SO worth the hype. They cruise through my janky cross-stitch backside like BUTTER. As a result I have stabbed myself like ten times this morning because I keep using the force needed for my old needles, oops.

I'm very relieved Poilievre didn't win, but it is so, so weird seeing US / UK peeps celebrating this on Canada's behalf as a win for the left. We just elected a centrist banker and our actual-left party was crushed and may lose official status. This is a move to the right for us, by the numbers.

Another week until I move in, so I can replace the flooring with mall-grade vinyl planks to stand up to both my wheelchair (turning can apply some serious torque) and the cats. Greg’s sad that I’m removing the plush carpet from his bedroom, but not quite sad enough to volunteer to clean up cat puke.

The new apartment has not one but TWO working elevators, which was the motivation to move, since the one elevator at my old building was getting to the age where it was zero working elevators a little too often. I have a taste for that decadent luxury “ability to leave the house,” you see.
