Over the weekend, journalists with CNN, MS NOW and Politico reported their press badges were confiscated when they attempted to enter White House grounds. The outlets have announced they will file a First Amendment lawsuit against the Trump administration in response.

Salford pioneered play streets, traffic-free from 8am till sunset (borrowed from New York) in the 1930s. Legislation followed: there were 700 in England and Wales in the 1950s, all but forgotten by the 1980s.
