ahh! a small fluffy ghost sits on a hardwood floor staring directly at us. but actually... the longer we take it in, the more cute the ghost becomes. one could even mistake this little guy for a golden retriever puppy wearing a sheet with eye, ear, and mouth holes cut out of it. even though he gave us a fright, we would still pet this ghost puppy.

It’s the time of year for mentioning one of my favourite ‘untranslatables’. ‘Poronkusema’, in Finnish, once denoted a distance of around 7.5km, which is roughly how long a reindeer can last before needing to urinate. ‘Poronkusema’ means ‘reindeer pee’.

LRS: this is why people are hesitant to portray complex disabled people and default to all good or all bad depictions- because ableists will posterize them anyway. I’m on the record as hating Wicked, but I feel for the stars facing real life prejudice.
