That time someone dumped a toy house on the cemetery wall and, when I crouched a bit, some ✨ Hollywood Magic ✨ occurred.

A plastic dolls house sitting on a wall, taken from an angle which makes it look as if it might be one of the houses on the street.

I’ve flown into & out of Tenerife North (as the airport was re-named). We had no problems but the history of the place is always on your mind.

Yep, I see the odd one here & there but I think this is the only time I’ve seen a pair posing perfectly together.

Las veo muy de vez en cuando aquí en Euskadi, y algo más a menudo en Málaga, pero es la única vez que he visto a dos juntas así en plan tarjeta postal.

We get loads of them passing through in spring but last yr & this 3 birds have stuck around all summer.

010

ChrisP @wordsmithgetxo.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

They usually spend about 3-4 weeks here in spring, but last year & this there’ve been 3 birds (a pair & a juvenile, I think) that have stayed on all summer.

Lots of screaming from the water as I walked along the prom this morning. Turned out to be a child overboard during some kind of school outing on the bay. From the looks on the faces of the monitors it couldn't have been too serious though.
