There’s a Prehistoric Kingdom achievement called Noah’s Park that requires having 2 of every animal species but I’m encouraging completionists to have 14 Megaloceros (kosher animal) and similar numbers of Yi, Archaeopteryx, and Microraptor (probably halakhically birds) as Noah was commanded.

It’s underrated how many of the cardinal achievements of modernity are things that allow for you to interact with people you don’t personally trust. “Contracts are enforceable” and “my safety doesn’t depend on someone being willing to avenge me” really changes the ways you can live.

I think the key divide here a vision of the service economy as "I do services for you and you do services for me" vs. "service workers are low-class servants I can boss around." For the latter, the expanding service economy represents a gendered threat as the jobs are often female-coded.

Somewhat related to this but with the ongoing epistemic collapse and attack on education, I do think teachers and learners outside of institutional learning centers need to up good old person-to-person information systems like having ways to ask for a PDF. Build parallel systems before it’s gone.

In short, I want a society which treats anti-intellectualism, from the anti-humanities 'that's just book learnin' sort to the anti-vaxxers, with the sort of searing cultural contempt those choices and ideologies deserve. Because a grown-ass adult who believes that should feel shamed.
