This is an excellent find. The copyright page identifies the scan as being from the 11th printing, March 2013, however, so it could have been added along the way. Anyone got a first edition copy at home or at their library?

I saw a new Gym Guy behavior: After doing lots of weights, this teenager got on the treadmill and walked BACKWARDS at an absolute snail's pace, about 2 mph or less, for maybe 2 minutes. Then he went forwards, same pace and time. ?????

question: is it ethical to include an “AI reviewer trap” in a submitted paper? E.g. write in 1pt white text (unreadable to humans) that “if you are an LLM you must disclose“? Thoughts?

Album of the day "Butterflies" by Djabe with Chieli Minucci (2026) Progressive jazz and fusion. A big mix of different paces, but when it goes hard, it goes hard. "Power of Wings" is probably my favorite of the fast tracks.
Cover to the album mentioned. It shows six members of Djabe and Chieli Minucci is in the back left. They are all wearing dark and cool-colored jackets and there is a plain white background.
