I want to talk about trans suicides and 'distress'. Specifically in the context of this thread and the climate of sheer hostility that has been fostered by government policy and societal apathy towards, if not outright endorsement of, trans suffering. Many folks chalk this up to "gender distress".

How many times has someone said something mean - and you just walked away? You don’t have to cause a scene to stand up for yourself. Maybe just say “That hurt my feelings” before you walk away. You may still feel bad, but at least you aren’t pretending that it was okay to hurt you.

I remember my shower in the Student House would be freezing unless you did the following (in this exact order): - run water for 5 seconds - switch it off - unscrew and remove the shower head - hold the pipe as high as possible - switch it back on and quickly replace the head. Praise the Omnissiah!
