It seems that humans always identify with rich people. They can picture themselves living a life of luxury. Dogs on the other hand always wonder if tomorrow they won’t have enough food or a safe place to sleep. Humans: if you can’t even imagine what it’s like to be poor - You should try it.

A toddler can look at a Great Dane and say “doggie” and then look at a Chihuahua and say “doggie". No matter how different, a baby can make the connection. When you look a people no matter how different, can you say ‘human being"?

How many times has a relative or friend or coworker or clerk or waiter bumped into you or made a mistake or caused you extra work? And you said “That’s okay.” It IS okay because it’s easy to let go of little mistakes. Say “That’s okay,” to yourself too.

It seems the sentence that humans hate most is: “I was wrong.” I guess deep down humans think they have to be perfect and admitting they aren’t just hurts too much. But the guys who love you already know you are wrong sometimes. They know. Time for you to know.

I heard a guy say: “If you were a real friend, you wouldn’t hurt my feelings.” OF COURSE a friend can hurt your feelings. Your friends are precious but none of them are perfect. And how do you know that right now that friend isn’t feeling bad about what they said? Or about something YOU said?

Sometimes Mom will hide a toy for a month or more then bring it out and pretend it’s new. I see right through this, but I appreciate the gesture Likewise you could take an old compliment out of your memory and enjoy it again.

Lots of times I don’t have to do a trick to get a treat. Sometimes I don’t even have to get up. I just open my mouth and Mom pops one in. There are lots of good humans like Mom. They don’t worry about deciding who’s deserving. They just do nice things.

Today’s the day we thank hard-working humans by giving them the day off. Except of course for workers in hospitals nursing homes police depts fire stations stores restaurants theatres airports etc. They can’t celebrate but we can be nice to them. Like maybe every day.

When you are reading or sleeping or just thinking your own thoughts, it does not mean that you are doing nothing. I think there might be a profit in stickers that say “Do Not Disturb” that you can stick on your forehead. I was busy here! I just didn’t have my sticker.
