Spooky Season has officially begun, and we’re kicking things off with a three-headed ferret.

OK, technically it’s three black-footed ferrets, but October calls for a little imagination.

Once thought to be extinct, black-footed ferrets are one of North America’s rarest mammals. At the National Black-footed Ferret Conservation Center, staff work to breed and recover these endangered little creatures and return them to the wild.

Cute? Absolutely. Three-headed monster? Only in October.

We saw a lot of folks carrying signs, and I can say with a lot of confidence that none of the people who held signs were rich assholes. Demographically I'd guess they were mostly people living on the edge of poverty. (I understand this is a generalization.) It boggles my mind.

I’m a Mainer. When I read nat’l media coverage, I think they have no clue what’s going on on the ground here. Those I know who support him are unwavering, based on his policies. Not a single poll—none—shows anyone beating Collins except Platner. Mills will lose the general if nominated.
