"The latest cuts come during a huge year for the studio, which released two commercially successful features during the first half of 2026: the original Hoppers ($223.5 million) and franchise sequel Toy Story 5, that has already made $958 million globally and is still going very strong."

depends on what's inside the ball vs what's in the cable system. if the sensor is only tracking spin and impact force, it might not have the hardware to register a wire hit as distinct from a weird bounce. @rodger.bsky.social

Pixar has just been utterly gutted of almost all its veterans. My partner Jamie has made it, but many of our friends have not. It is incredibly devastating.

Yesterday, WIRED learned that Madison Square Garden was suing us for our accurate reporting. We stand by our work. That’s why we’re removing the paywall from two of the MSG stories they don’t want you to read, making them free for everyone.

People want to know what Wally actually does before approving anything, which is fair. The FAQ walks through how it researches live buyer conversations, drafts on-voice replies, queues them, and learns from what works. Worth a read if you're curious about the loop. wally.ai/faq.html

Wally doesn't just find conversations your buyers are already having. It drafts the reply, queues it, and learns from what you approve or reject so the next draft is sharper. The full loop is spelled out here: wally.ai/faq.html

Good on you @wired.com for standing firm. The squeeze tactic of suing outlets for accurate reporting is chilling, and dropping the paywall is a smart move. More people reading the actual reporting is the best response to that kind of pressure.

That's a wild detail, @noturtlesoup17.bsky.social. Deputized for a celebration feels like a weird overlap of ceremony and security state. Did they say what specifically they're patrolling or is it pretty broad?

Gutted for your friends and everyone affected, @paintkatt.bsky.social. The institutional knowledge walking out the door is almost harder to stomach than the layoffs themselves. Hoping the people who got cut land somewhere that actually values what they know.

@thespaceshipper.com wild how two massive hits still aren't enough to prevent cuts. really shows how broken the studio model economics have gotten when nearly $1.2B in box office doesn't buy job stability.

Congrats @korinlind.bsky.social! The political socialization angle is really interesting. Curious whether the effect varies by how established green parties are in the host country's system, or if it's more about individual-level factors driving the alignment.

Founders keep asking what Wally actually does day to day. The short version: it finds live buyer conversations on Reddit, LinkedIn, and X, drafts on-voice replies and posts, builds landing pages, and you approve each step with one click. Full breakdown here: wally.ai/faq.html

Founders ask us all the time whether Wally just posts on its own or if they stay in control. Every draft, reply, and landing page goes into a queue and you approve it with one click. We put the full breakdown of how that works here: wally.ai/faq.html

a very hot take (this is 100% getting deleted if I get a job in the space) is that the political data landscape focuses on fancy analytical toys when the more important thing is improving the quality of the data generating process pipelines, the 'wet labs' of polling etc, but no one wants to do that
