English bloke, tolerant of pretty much anything consensual that anyone wants to do. Amazes me how few replies beginning "So" are worth reading.

Secret tip: you can pay by CC at the exit barriers at West Quay (I'm told; not tried it myself). But yes, irritating beyond measure. The assumption that there will always be a signal when required is indeed an ambitious one.

The meters at Hengistbury Head in Christchurch require the use of an app. Cunningly, there is no phone signal in the car park on the Vodafone network unless you walk to the far end (200metres) and climb the embankment.

It's already been said many times that the U.S., under President Donald Trump, was turning its back on Ukraine. But the past few days show something worse than abandonment: Trump is now actively helping Russia win the war.

The EU has a say in this. And they know that the parties in 2nd and 3rd place in the UK would take us straight out again. It would be madness for the EU to let us back until that risk fades.

Can I check the timeline? Two days ago, Trump was rambling about deserving the Nobel Peace Prize more than anyone in history for stopping 8 wars and preventing Iran from having a nuclear weapon. Today the Peace Prize goes to a member of the ICC. Hours later the USA imposes sanctions on the ICC.

Truly unique and groundbreaking code. A true pioneer. Here's how the programs were stored. Core rope memory. Margaret's code was not only effective but fabulously tightly written and used 72KB of storage, a minuscule amount of memory by today's standards. A PC with 16GB RAM is 233,000 times bigger
Core rope memory in which wires are intertwined with magnets to store and run code

Registration numbers change in September and March; could be at least part of the explanation. It means your car looks slightly newer than a car bought in Feb/Aug. Given that I have literally no idea how they are numbered it all flies over my head but seems to matter to some people.

Private schools local to us all, without exception, started around the turn of the century to compete on the basis on new playing fields, gyms, theatres and so on. Not one competed on "Not glossy but affordable fees". It was a race to astronomical prices long before VAT entered the equation.

I have a trade deficit with woman who used to own my house. I paid her thousands of dollars for her home and she paid me nothing. Now, all I have is a house worth thousand of dollars. I could have saved those thousands of dollars if I lived on a bench in the park. It's just simple Economics.

That Twitter reflects the position of the average Briton. Take the leap, move all government communications from Twitter and start shouting out this nonsense as a complete government rather than just a handful of bolder Labour MPs like you.

I'm afraid the Labour Party leadership looks utterly unwilling to confront the rise of the far right. A strong government should lead public opinion rather than trying to pander to the thugs by attempting to out-Reform Reform. I suspect your media people spend too much time on Twitter and believe /1

Unequivocal good news in terms of fitting solar to existing housing stock. Adds to generation, doesn't stress the grid. To top it off we need regulations to force worthwhile quantities on new builds. Sticking a single panel on a new house to tick a box is not enough.

I'm minded to agree. I find it comforting that, while I can't remember not existing, I can logically examine what it was like. In 1349, the black death swept across Britain. It was a completely neutral year for me. Not good, not bad. Just not. Gives me hope for 2149, when I'll be dead as a hammer.

I think its importance depends on your size. Paperwork matters far more to a one or two person company than to a company of 20-250. Any paperwork burden on our business uses up my personal, invaluable time.
