Went to UVic GoByBike Week Celebration station. Took the two-way bike lane on Finnerty road. Saanich rescue at the scene of a crash: a driver turning into a parking lot right-hooked a cyclist. For the love of pete, drivers need to shoulder check! 😡 we also need better infrastructure in Saanich.

Haven’t found the sci fi portion of BlueSky yet but can we talk about Silo s3 finale and The Prisoner references? I’ve been hate-watching this season of Silo (ugh so much to loathe) and nearly gagged at the “W H Y ?” and the “Be seeing you.” It’s giving “get that name out of your filthy mouth.”

My new NonaBike™️ commute is to UVic via Mackenzie. Sorry, but Nona NOPED out of that route. I don’t care if there are plastic “bollards”-it does not feel safe enough. Looking for alternative routes to UVic that don’t involve 4 & 5-lane stroads with lots of sketchy intersections and slip lanes.

I am a new fan of Yorkshire tea. I took the last bag from our London hotel room and (ironically) had to brew it when we got to York, where it was NOT provided in our hotel room(!) I bought a bag of loose tea at the Tesco in Inverness but I hope it’s available in Canada when we go back home.
