I am a new fan of Yorkshire tea. I took the last bag from our London hotel room and (ironically) had to brew it when we got to York, where it was NOT provided in our hotel room(!) I bought a bag of loose tea at the Tesco in Inverness but I hope it’s available in Canada when we go back home.

Everyday Melbourne. It’s so car-centric that playground speed limit is 40 km/h (!) and yet the bike racks next to the beach are mounted right inside the base rather than bolted (safer and a good design); I guess you could move the bin next to it 🤷‍♀️ Finally: anyone want a nice chair? It’s free!

Here’s a reminder that there were upwards of 17 million victims of Nazi persecution, starting with left-wingers, and moving onto LGBTQ people, disabled, Romani, Polish and Russian civilians, and of course Jewish people. Anyone declared “other” was a target. #NeverAgain

Taking into account all of the victims of persecution, the Nazis systematically murdered an estimated six million Jews and an additional 11 million people during the war. Donald Niewyk suggests that the broadest definition, including Soviet civilian deaths, would produce a total of 17 million victims.
