I get around mostly by bicycle. My current bike has a motor that makes it easier for me to deal with hills, heat, & heavy loads. My previous bike had a throttle, which was essential when I needed to start on an uphill. I used to ride a bike with no motor, and I loved it.

There are absolutely legit safety concerns around kids and e-bikes/e-motos but one of my least favorite talking points is, "They're kids, they should just pedal!" It's no less ableist or fatphobic than when people say the same about adults. E-bikes are about *mobility* not just exercise BUT...1/
