From an ecological economics perspective, socialism cannot just redistribute the fruits of endless growth. The economy is a subsystem of a finite biosphere. 21st-century socialism must embrace ecological limits and degrowth. There will be no ecosocialism without degrowth.

The party this MP belongs to clearly does not support the right to peaceful protest otherwise why arrest people for holding signs condemning genocide. Also this framing suggests Emma Reynolds doesn’t disagree with the politics of these fascists only their method of communication. It is not robust.

As a permaculture and plant nerd I believe seed saving/sharing and local seed development is essential: especially site-specific varieties who perform well with extreme weather events. We are living in a time of climate standard deviation. We need to to start cultivating plants that cope.

Important research, even if some of the findings seem intuitive. Assumptions that ‘nature’ or human communities can ‘recover’ back into their pre-stressed, pre-disturbed states are often wrong (and in my view, deluded and/or convenient to the prevailing narratives).
