My team and I have been working for YEARS to get DOWA to divest from the proposed Palmer Mine at the headwaters of the Chilkat Watershed. Good news: DOWA divested, de-funding the project! The fight isn't over, but this is a big win. Let's celebrate it! #CherishTheChilkat mailchi.mp/165be447cb8d...

Feeling good about Actually Writing in my cozy cabin as this snowstorm blows in, rather than spending the day dissociating and thinking I’m writing…. Also feeling good about achieving coziness in my cabin despite the very cold weather of the last few days! #AmWriting

Molaimse go mór mór an leabhar so! Highly recommend Learning Irish by Mícheál Ó Siadhail for learners - so good that I have two copies! But seriously, if you're learning Connacht Irish, t'is a must-have. Otherwise, for Munster, I recommend Teach Yourself Irish 1961 version NOT the new one!!!

Your writing process will change on a daily basis with every project, because every project is different. Whatever gets you to the final product is the way that that book needed to be written. So I need you to stop scrolling and say this aloud right now. "My writing process is not broken."

Behold, the Paps of Anu. My great-great grandparents lived in their underboob.
A pair of beautiful breast-shaped mountains with light mist. Brilliant green grass and trees in the foreground, blue sky with whispy white clouds above. Zooming in will reveal nipples at the mountain tops—these are rock cairn passage tombs.

Farranfore, the Hub of the Universe.
Train platform with covered bench in Farranfore, County Kerry. Farranfore is remarkable in that it has both a train station and and airport. It also has a beautiful train station with toilets and dry space to shelter, but people are not allowed in it. Currently, work is being done on the exterior stonework. One wonders whether the train station might one day re-open, or whether the work is being done purely to spite the train-riding public.
