Orange Shirt Day is a day to remember those who were forcibly taken from their families and culture and put into residential and boarding schools. There they suffered horrific abuse simply for being Native. My grandma was one of those children.

Turns out we don’t have to invoke weapons of mass destruction when talking about ocean heat uptake. The ocean absorbed a record-breaking 23 zettajoules of heat last year, equivalent to 40 times the energy used by humanity. It’s not going to end well.

I've spent the summer in Switzerland and Ecuador, which have been breaking temperature records but still remained green. It was a big shock yesterday to see the effects of the supercharged el niño on Hyde Park. There's no grass. None. I've never seen that before. #ElNino #ClimateChange
