Here, I fixed it:

Meme of a person looking at random encounters and saying "Wow, RPGs are so grindy" while the point goes over his head: Random encounters were originally supposed to be increments of attrition across the length of a dungeon; they lost their purpose when RPGs shifted focus from resource management to dramatic moments.
