Meanwhile, I am pissed off that we didn't get a larger property tax increase this last cycle. We voted directly for a property tax increase and then council spends all this time debating what to cut to minimize the increase? No. Give us the increase we voted for. (This is about the pool)

Finally got my watch to record the bike ride. Someone suggested to me Vancouver Street, which is a great suggestion, the whole scariness of cook st is avoided completely, much less busy street. I think next time I try Richardson down to St. Charles, that'll be the boundary of lime zone. Tour de #yyj

Specifically referring to Mike Harris here. I'm pretty sure he hasn't visited downtown Victoria since 2016, and gets all his views about this place from the lead-brained boomer takes on Facebook. Thoughts on the #yyj municipal election. I think there's a lot of candidates out there that are decrying a "crisis" in the city , accusing existing elected of being arrogant, not listening to the public, and ramming $NICHE_PROJECT_SOME_NIMBY_TOLD_ME_ABOUT through council without any consultation.

Minister shouldn't have any abilities to direct employees back to work if it's in the national interest. If you want to go down that road, make funding available to bridge the gap between workers and management. Forcing people to work is unjust and should be an unaliable human right, if you ask me

I got a photo near Jutland showing some of the temporary city works a couple of weeks back.... I think they've done a great job of it so far. Just shows me it's pretty easy to add these types of lanes. It seems such a hassle & annoyance for many, but I like that the project is able to move smoothly.

This reminds me of Mr. Willy. He's such a scardey cat when anyone is in his space, but is otherwise a little bossy, bold & sassy. He was rehomed to me after a young family couldn't keep up with his needs/antics, this is him first night, sleeping under some coats & peeking out from the bed.

I've been thinking about this a lot - a sort of existentialism tied to the species. One thing about permian-triasic is the planet did end up coming out of what was by all accounts a worse catastrophe than we're seeing today. Permian dying was the only one noted for killing off insects, plants

I was at the show at Market Square in #yyj #ywh Friday and was wandering around. There's a third floor that is mostly offices, the balcony along the top goes all the way around, but the south side isn't accessible, they must lock it during the weekend.

It's quite a bit larger. My province, BC is about twice the size of Texas. In Canada there are large concentrations of people in the city and vast and wide stretches where there is nothing. Some stupid thing like 90% of the population is within some sliver of range of the US border, south of Calgary

This reminds me of my cat Mischa. She passed a few years ago. Here is a photo of her with my dad, she would've been about 22 in this picture. My dad gave this cat cheese ONCE and ever after was mauled for food, even if he didn't have any.
