Been solo'ing Sweet Lands until I can find a crew ready to take on its pastel punishment. Inching closer to the "acceptable" score of 250. Today's run was Coral Lyla at 235. 300 is feeling like noting but a sweet dream at this point 🫠

Designers & Dragons Origins is in your FLGS, at @drivethrurpg.com, and at Evil Hat today. This is the culmination of almost 13 years of work! DriveThruRPG contracted me in December 2012 about signing an NDA for a mystery project. It turned out they'd gotten rights to produce PDFs of old D&D books!

First Play… The Dealer (2026) and Ink (2025)
I got the opportunity to play my first games of The Dealer (2026) and Ink (2025) at the weekend, and enjoyed both. Here’s how things went… The Dealer (2026) I briefly covered this last month in another TSM Blog —New Arrivals… Tulip Season (2026) and The Dealer (2026)— and at the time suggested that it looked very promising, so I’m very pleased to say that it proved a lot more than just promising when we finally got an opportunity to play it… And the artwork remains just another positive for the game as a whole.

Indie publishers/designers, what do you consider fair royalty rates for publishing someone’s stuff, if the publisher pays for printing, handles storage, distribution, sales etc, but the designer does all creative work. I wanna make sure my deal is good for the designer but don’t know the benchmark.

Given Wizards' abandonment of D&D fiction, it's great to see Hachette Partworks bringing back 100 classic D&D novels—even better, all in a gorgeous HARDCOVER format. If they were more easily available in the US, I suspect I'd be looking for shelving to fit 100 books. 🧵1

Zines are self-published, small-circulation booklets or magazines, often created by individuals or small groups. Emerging in the 1930s within science fiction fandoms, zines have since become a powerful medium for Do-It-Yourself enthusiasts and subcultures seeking self-expression ➡️ w.wiki/8LLs

For funs, you can see how much card game production has changed from 1993 to 2026.
Card production by an RPG company in 1993: cards printed on perforated cardstock. Simple line art, though I think placing the art behind the text was pretty innovative for the era.2026: The doctrine cards remain simple, but with some color-coding. But you can see how gorgeous the art is on the cards with less text.
