Yesterday, I played Expeditions from @stonemaiergames.com (again, in prep for Duel of Meloch, which arrived earlier this week), as well as some games from @oinkgames.bsky.social: Compress, The Frozen Passage, and Rafter 5. An eclectic night, but those are often some of my favorites. #boardGames

Expeditions. A large map made of hexagonal tiles fills the table. Tall metallic mech figures are placed on some of the tiles. Each player has a square mat in front of them with tokens. There are also cards on either side of both mats.

Compress. Each player has cards laid out in front of them, each either black or white and showing a 0 or a 1. There’s a deck of similar cards between them. Some orange cards showing 0s and 1s are off the side, beside an orange wooden zero.

The Frozen Passage. Black, red, and blue numbered cards form an inverted pyramid between the players. Each player has a small card stand with similar cards placed inside them.

Rafter 5. Thin cards depicted wooden planks are balanced on top of the game box with the help of wooden figures shaped like people and treasure chests. There are similar-shaped cards showing ocean water spread on the table around the central display.
