We have our first suspected case of a major AI-conducted hack of the banking system. Thieves stole useful info (not cash) from South Korean customers. So we enter this new era with a slew of unresolved questions: about liability, and about new risks — to institutions, the economy and evencurrency.

I'm guessing @tsnofficial.bsky.social has no policy on its journalists publicly endorsing candidates in elections? (Serious question too, TSN actually does legitimate sports journalism)
Jennifer Hedger Earlier this year I met with @BradMBradford I have lived in Toronto for 25 years. For the past 5, the city has been in a steep decline. Crime. Open drug use. Gridlock. Garbage. Safety concerns on the TTC. It didn't used to be like this. Toronto can return to being a thriving city but it begins with leadership. We need a serious Mayor. Get out and vote.

This contagious claim that under the NDP BC has become 'the highest taxed province' is nonsense. Provincial own-source revenue as share of GDP is 4th lowest among the provinces, and below the Canadian weighted average. #bcpoli /2

On this day in 1813, the Battle of the Thames was fought near present-day Chatham-Kent, Ontario. The battle was a defeat for the British, who lost control of the Western District of Upper Canada. Indigenous leader Tecumseh was killed in the battle. 🎨 William Emmons
A historical illustration depicting a battle scene in a wooded area. Soldiers in gray uniforms and red-coated figures are engaged in combat, with some wielding muskets and others on horseback. Several fallen figures lie on the ground, and a central figure on a white horse appears to be leading the charge. Trees with autumn foliage and a distant landscape with more troops are visible in the background.

Conservatives still refuse to admit that the Americans are the problem, that there is no deal to be had, and that the Americans are not intersted in the benefits of trade—only in our capitulation.
Carney’s Top Priority Should be Resolving the U.S. Trade Dispute

October 2, 2026
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Ottawa, ON – Stephanie Kusie, Conservative Shadow Minister for International Trade, and Shuvaloy Majumdar, Conservative Shadow Minister for Canada-US relations, issued the following statement on Minister Sidhu’s meeting with Jamieson Greer, U.S. Trade Representative at the G20 Trade Ministers’ meeting:

“Just days after U.S. import bans on select Canadian items like alcohol, dairy, motorcycles and molasses took effect, Canada’s Minister of International Trade, Maninder Sidhu, met with U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer yesterday at the G20 Trade Ministers’ meeting.

“The Minister should have taken this opportunity to fiercely advocate for Canada and our workers, businesses and producers threatened by President Trump’s latest unjustified trade attack.

“Instead, the Minister spoke to Representative Greer about 'multilateral initiatives' such as WTO reforms and rules-based trade. While these are important issues, the Minister failed to do what should be of utmost importance to the Carney government: making progress toward a deal for the 2.6 million Canadian workers whose livelihoods rely on U.S. trade.

“For months, the Prime Minister and his negotiating team offered concessions in trade talks and negotiated from a position of weakness rather than strength. These unilateral concessions secured nothing for Canadian families while further emboldening the U.S.

“In fact, after meeting with Minister Sidhu, Representative Greer described outstanding disputes with Canada as 'quite difficult to resolve.' This further highlights the importance of Canada being at the negotiating table and using every opportunity to advocate for Canadian jobs and our trade relationship.

“Conservatives will never stop fighting for Canadian workers and businesses. As our Leader, the Honourable Pierre Poilievre, has shown through his trips to the United States, we will continue remindin…
