What anti-MeToo pundits don't accept is that freedom requires order, and that this is also true of sex. It's not enough to tear down the old patriarchal sexual norms and leave a vacuum. You have to establish a new ethic of consent. MeToo is nothing less than the completion of the sexual revolution.

specifically there is a lot of beautiful depictions of women, often playing instruments, like this one of a woman playing a tar(yes, etymologically related to what we know as a guitar. "tar" meaning "string" in Persian) that may be the earliest i remember and had stuck in my memory.

It really sets in stark relief the asymmetry of coverage of the "debate" over trans and women's rights across our media. On the GC side court losses are reported as wins, racism is glossed over and hate is endlessly sane-washed. Meanwhile successes on the pro-trans side are met with silence or lies.
