Thrilled and honoured to receive commentary on our paper in @jem.org from Camille Blériot & Florent Ginhoux highlighting our findings that long-lived resident macs are present in the lamina propria and submucosa of the gut, and that mac-derived TGF-beta is a key determinant of gut mac identity.
