The headline from the first Mayoral “debate” featuring Chris Alexander and Brad Bradford is that nothing news worthy really happened. Felt more like a networking event for right wing Torontonians than any meaningful exploration of policy or governance.

E Scooters are far from the safest mode of transportation. But focusing any energy into discussing their flaws instead of cars is like a doctor spending the brunt of their appointment with a heroin addict telling them to lay off cigarettes.

Brad Bradford is an urban planner in the same way I'm a baseball player. I mean sure, I've played some baseball in the past. But I never went pro. Just like how Brad never got his Registered Professional Planner / RPP cert. Actual RPPs (such as at the OPPI) oppose bike lane removal.

Ive seen too many stories conflating pedestrianized streets (very simple and cheap to organize) with street festivals (costly and logistically difficult). We don’t need to bring in three hundred vendors and dozens of musical acts anytime we open a street up to people. #toronto
