I used to be scared of the possibility of death/sickness but at this point, I don't even care anymore. We're all gonna die at some point, I'm sick and disabled and I'm going to make some crazy gay gothic art that goes against the church and the government 🤷🏽‍♂️

I've embraced the fact that I am a sickly man from victorian times. I have had the plague more times than I can remember. I am constantly battling the monarchy for human rights. Dr.'s don't know what they're fucking doing. I am always on the verge of death but my cane is cool. 👍

Today is the birthday of cartoonist, illustrator, writer, & teacher Elton Fax (Oct. 9, 1909-May 13, 1993). He worked on pulp magazines & comic books, and in 1942, created the comic strip Susabelle about a young girl. He wrote and illustrated over 30 books on various topics, including Black history.

The cover to a book he wrote called "Contemporary Black Leaders." It shows sketches of Malcolm X, Coretta Scott King, Thurgood Marshall, Fannie Lou Hamer, Charles Evers, Bayard Rustin, and more.

The cover he did for a Western pulp magazine that shows a cowboy holding his gun and crouching behind a bar during a gunfight.
