I still see a lot of confusion about what decompilation, recompilation and ports are and what level of effort is involved in each type of project. It's important that people understand the difference, as recompilation took a drastically different meaning that when it was originally introduced.

there's a pretty simple connection here 1. humans become good at what they practice doing 2. outsourcing to an AI or even other people, means you have stopped doing the thing 3. if you stop doing the thing, you will stop improving, and, long term, get worse at it (cont.)

Saying it for maybe the 50th time: Do not accuse someone of using AI unless you have ABSOLUTELY AIRTIGHT proof, because if not, you're just adding to the paranoia and causing stress for hard-working artists. And yes, going onto social media and going 'Hrrm, I've no proof, but...' is an accusation.

The reason why procgen in games is, as we like to say, a great way of getting twice the content with four times the work is that you can't fight Shannon's laws any more than you can fight the laws of thermodynamics. You can't give the audience more information than you were willing to put in.
