To my fellow members of Toronto—St. Paul's: I emailed my MP Leslie Church tonight about her endorsement of Brad Bradford. While I don't expect a reply, here is my email in case you'd like some inspiration for your own. Always tell your representatives how you feel! They work for you!

So Toronto Liberal MPs are supporting Brad Bradford for Mayor of Toronto. The life long grifter and endorsee of Turning Point USA, is being endorsed by Federal Liberals. Why? I think I know. You elect him as Mayor and any resistance to the Billy Bishop expansion evaporates.

Adjacent house is purchased, buyer plans to build a fourplex. Size of that (approved) proposal would mean that per city code, their fireplace could no longer be used - that sucks, so I get their frustration. But they lose me on refusing the purchaser's offer to pay for their chimney's retrofit.

As a homeowner - too many other homeowners believe they have a right to prevent change in the cityscape outside of their property. I genuinely get that this fourplex will probably be a bit of an eyesore next to their beautiful house. But theirs is not a sympathetic position.

Yesterday there was a big event called the "Ontario Intercity Travel Summit" at the Ted Rogers School of Management in Toronto, with VIPs from the governments of Ontario and Canada, Air Canada, VIA, Metrolinx, Alto, etc. I have seen zero media coverage of this event. transportfutures.ca/ONintercity/
A kind of overwrought (though possibly not AI-generated) image from the Transport Futures project website—they were the organizer of the Ontario Intercity Travel Summit. The image features a bunch of icons representing different travel modes and considerations (air, rail, busses, trucks, bicycles, parking, fuel, etc.) in circles connected with lines, all overlaid on a background of an elevated expressway passing through a big city with lots of tall buildings and the sun rising or setting behind. Superimposed over everything are the words "advancing mobility pricing, infrastructure and multimodal solutions together." It's a lot, y'all.
